Our second filter release of 2024! We aren’t slowing down either!

You’ll find a fruit bowl of flavors when you delve into this coffee. We tasted strawberries, currants, orange peel, and a sparkling tropical drink. This coffee will just get better with age. So, be patient!

We find this coffee excellent when done as a pour-over:

Recipe

15g in

250g out

Brew time: 2.5-3mins

Bloom with 45g in 30secs and then pour 70g every 15 seconds until the end target

We knew we were missing a coffee from the Kenyan region and are excited to have Kamwangi now on the menu!

Another belter from our friends at John Burton Coffee. The tasting notes speak for themselves

A little about this coffee:

Kamwangi, situated in Kirinyaga county, is one of the two factories managed by the esteemed New Ngariama Cooperative Society. Located on the picturesque slopes of Mount Kenya, Kirinyaga has gained worldwide recognition for its exceptional coffee quality. Kamwangi was established in 1983, and in keeping with the growing environmental awareness, the factory has taken proactive measures to preserve the ecosystem. To minimize environmental impact, Kamwangi has relocated its waste water soak pits away from the water source. This strategic move allows the waste water to naturally infiltrate the soil, promoting ecological balance. Currently, the factory does not employ waste water treatment methods, but their conscious efforts towards waste water management are commendable. Furthermore, the cooperative society actively encourages its members to cultivate trees on their farms. By promoting tree planting initiatives, they contribute to the conservation of natural resources and the overall well-being of the region.
